Night behind the polar circle 90x110

Immerse yourself in the silent beauty of the Arctic night. A glowing orange sunset fades into a deep polar-blue sky, while a quiet river, a solitary house, and soft flowers create a moment of rare northern serenity.

Our canvas prints are stretched on a 20 mm wooden frame and printed in full color on one side, delivering a clean, modern presentation ready for display.

Canvas prints are known for their strength and durability. Thanks to high-quality materials and fade-resistant inks, the image maintains its color brilliance and depth over many years without losing intensity. The natural canvas texture adds visual depth and a tactile character to the artwork, giving it a premium, gallery-quality appearance that clearly stands apart from ordinary wall décor.

“Night Beyond the Polar Circle” is part of the exhibition series “Whale Coast”, inspired by the artist’s journey beyond the Arctic Circle in Northern coastal regions and Scandinavia. It depicts a summer night when the sun barely dips below the horizon, moving slowly along the edge of the sea instead of setting.  A small house with a blue roof — a bathhouse in a quiet fishing village — stands near the shore. It is around two o’clock in the morning. Everything is in bloom, surrounded by fields of fireweed. The water looks soft and warm, almost like fresh milk. Nothing here feels harsh or cold. It is difficult to believe this is the Arctic Ocean. The scene is delicate, luminous, and quietly piercing. This artwork is about the gentleness of the North, revealed in an unexpected moment.

“Night Beyond the Polar Circle” dissolves the familiar idea of the Arctic as severe and distant, replacing it with warmth, silence, and intimacy. It captures a rare state where time slows, light lingers, and the world feels suspended between day and night. The painting invites stillness and attentiveness — offering a quiet, emotional encounter with a place that reveals itself only to those who remain and observe.
