4x4 series #6

100x100 cm (original painting size)

Experience museum-quality art with our Giclée prints on premium heavyweight matte paper. Preferred by professional artists and collectors, this technique captures every detail with stunning color accuracy, making each poster a true masterpiece.

The 4×4 Series follows a single principle rather than individual differences between works. Each painting emerges from a meditative, almost therapeutic process. The artist approaches the canvas with the mind switched off, allowing dreams, recent memories, fleeting associations, anxieties, and sudden emotional triggers to surface freely.

Everything that appears — fear, tension, fragments of thought, moments that disturbed or moved him — is transferred directly onto the canvas. There is no predefined direction, no fixed orientation. Once complete, the painting can be rotated, and with every turn it transforms.

Each work in the series can be hung in four different orientations, revealing four distinct moods, narratives, and emotional landscapes — as if four paintings coexist within one surface.

This series is about inner flow, vulnerability, and open interpretation. The 4×4 Series offers an expansive psychological space where meaning is never fixed. By rotating the canvas, the viewer becomes an active participant — discovering new associations, emotions, and visual stories with each turn.

Every artwork holds a wide field for interpretation, allowing the owner to live with the piece over time, changing its orientation as their own mood shifts. Each painting becomes four artworks in one — a continuous dialogue between the viewer, the image, and the inner states it reflects.

F.A.Q.

  • Atelier Innokenti Baranov represents the studio and artistic practice of Berlin-based neo-expressionist painter Innokenti Baranov.

His work explores emotion, movement, and color as lived experience rather than decoration. All works presented through the atelier originate directly from the artist’s studio.

The atelier exists as an extension of this practice — a space where painting remains the core and where selected objects evolve naturally from the artwork.

  • IB Art Shop is the official online store connected to the atelier.

It offers curated art reproductions, canvas prints, posters, and selected art objects derived from Innokenti Baranov’s paintings.

These products are not created as generic merchandise. They are conceived as extensions of specific artworks, allowing collectors to live with the work in different formats while preserving the visual language of the original paintings.

  • The atelier presents three closely connected categories:

    • Fine-art reproductions of original paintings, produced as giclée prints on canvas and premium posters

    • Selected art objects (mugs, phone cases, tote bags), created as extensions of specific paintings

    • Original artworks, available in limited quantity

Each category is curated with the same attention to artistic integrity, visual coherence, and connection to the original paintings.

  • All art reproductions are printed in Berlin in collaboration with professional print partners.

We use archival-quality materials designed for long-term display, ensuring color stability and material durability over time.

Each print is produced individually after an order is placed.

  • Art objects are produced individually through carefully selected print-on-demand partners.

Each piece is created only after an order is placed.

This made-to-order approach avoids overproduction and ensures that every object remains directly connected to the original artwork rather than existing as generic merchandise.

  • No.

Neither the art reproductions nor the art objects are kept as stock inventory.

All items are produced on demand after an order is placed, following a deliberate and sustainable made-to-order process. This approach avoids overproduction and keeps each piece directly connected to the original artwork.

  • Yes.

A curated selection of original paintings by Innokenti Baranov is available through the atelier.

Original works are unique and availability changes frequently. Because each piece exists only once, availability cannot be guaranteed and may update without notice.

  • Each reproduction is carefully prepared to preserve:

    • color balance

    • brushwork character

    • the overall atmosphere of the original painting

Minor variations may occur due to material properties, lighting conditions, and screen calibration. This is inherent to all physical artworks and part of their material presence.

For original paintings, we offer the option of a handcrafted frame, made locally and tailored specifically to the artwork.
